IMPULSE RC DRIVER FIXER DRONETEST PC
Now when I try hooking the FC up my PC doesn’t even detect that there has been a USB device connected at all, it’s driving me crazy, I think the board may have been faulty on arrival but me being a noob and not thinking straight I didn’t test it first, I’ve ordered another one, but just wanted to know if there was anything that I could do with this one to bring it back to life.
IMPULSE RC DRIVER FIXER DRONETEST INSTALL
I’ve tried this Impulse tool but because my PC and the 3 other PCs I’ve tried it on doesn’t even detect that I’ve connected a USB device up to it the tool isn’t able to install the drivers for it. Really frustrating, it is driving me nuts!!!Īny help or advice would be greatly appreciated as I’m at a complete loss as to what else I can try, I should also mention that the blue status light doesn’t come on, only a solid green power light. Hi mate, thanks for getting back to me, it is very intermittent in that if I connect it to a computer the green light comes on solid and I get no blue light, also the PC wont even pickup I’ve got a device connected at all, but if I leave it plugged in for a while it will make the USB connected sound but then it will disconnect itself pretty much straight away. That STM32 VCP driver is on the welcome page of Cf and BF, and I have installed it 3 times already,Īnd I already had it in the first place before I even started with this board.I already contacted the place I purchased it from and was told to try and flash it with the latest firmware but if I can’t even get my computer to detect it in normal mode and DFU mode then I have absolutely no way of trying to flash the latest firmware to it!!! IMPULSE RC DRIVER FIXER DRONETEST HOW TO
There is a section in Betaflight Wiki "Installing Betaflight" explaining how to do it.
I suspect you didn't install regular STM32 VCP driver (ImpulseRC fixer works only for DFU mode). The sole reason that earlier designs did not use VCP was that flight controller firmwares are not equipped with VCP driver on FC side now as CF,BF,iNav,RF all have it, newer designs will never go back to non-VCP. It wouldn't help you at all, because you will be ending up with driver installation woes again. These circuits are essentially equivalent to the circuit on the right. Left is the transistor based one often seen in airbot's design, and right center is the newer mosfet based design. I have been trying to narrow down the problem one by one, but you seem to have your own theory, so you can work on your own.Īttached drawing may help you. If something as simple as a buzzer doesn't work, there must be some reason that has been overlooked or falsely assumed. I'm guessing buzzer switch is bad on the FC. I am getting 5v to the FC 5v buzzer + output when using another ground on the FC to test. But I thought you said I should be getting 5v on the flight controller buzzer outputs when switch is on, which I am NOT getting. I'm assuming to check circuitry of the unit itself. If you are asking me to connect the buzzer unit to a 5v source using the buzzer pads on the back of the unit, I can do that. When I press that button the buzzer beeps. The buzzer/led unit has a button on the front that is used to select the color and flashing pattern when using the unit in "TX Mode". I thought I said that I knew the buzzer works.
